An Underrated Series By Netflix India

The lockdown is hitting us hard, compared to our expectations! With so many thoughts that are brewing in our minds daily, we switch to Netflix and sit all day long (sometimes, the night too!). There are so many web series available on Netflix that we often feel confused, and ask our friends to suggest something.

Well, I am suggesting something that you will not regret after watching it! Netflix India is getting much innovative day by day and now they have come up with "Jamtara - Sabka Number Ayega", a crime series, directed by Soumendra Padhi.

Jamtara, a small town located in Jharkhand is famous for Phishing activities that happen all over the country, and guess who are the brains behind? A group of adolescent boys! They acquired millions through it, but things started to change when a new S.P. was appointed to end this business of phishing. Also, the local M.L.A. got himself involved and things took a different turn. Conflicts between cousins, the involvement of goons and lust of people in power, ignited the town.

An underrated series on Netflix, but still it managed to provide a new outlook in the era of web series. The portrayal of an underdeveloped town in India and the actual mindset of people living there was perfect (without any second thought, I can say!). Amit Sial managed to anger the audience and made just to the character of evil Brajesh Bhan. Dibyendu Bhattacharya portrayed the character of Inspector Biswa, he played his part well, who is stuck in the small town with his hands tied. The rest of the cast too played their role well, like Aksha Pardasany, Sparsh Srivastav, and Monika Panwar, new faces, but extremely talented, I must say.

There are just 10 episodes, approximately 40 minutes each, so you can finish it over a day or two. It's time to unfold the dark side of rural India and the young minds living there!
